Tout n'est pas perdu dans le conflit qui oppose l'UE et les Etats-Unis au sujet des aides financières octroyées à Airbus et Boeing:
"Taking cases to the WTO (World Trade Organisation) is, in my view, not the appropriate way to deal with a dispute between two hugely successful companies for whom there is adequate room for both to prosper in the global market," European Union Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson said.
(...) "The lines of communication remain open," Mandelson said. "The EU remains ready to negotiate a balanced, phased agreement to reduce and eventually eliminate subsidies for large civil aircraft production."
(...) Mandelson and new U.S. Trade Representative Robert Portman discussed the issue earlier this month, agreeing that the best way to resolve it was through negotiations. "I expect to be discussing it again with him shortly," Mandelson said.
