Selon une étude récente, l'Union Européenne et les Etats-Unis devraient mieux se concerter afin de mettre en place des outils efficaces destinés à prévenir d'éventuelles tensions commerciales.
L'article du Financial Times :
The European Union and the US need a new initiative to overcome regulatory divergences that have soured the world's largest and most important trade relationship, according to proposals that will be tabled by Brussels on Wednesday.
The proposals are part of a 10-year review of the New Transatlantic Agenda and come ahead of an EU-US summit in Washington next month.
They are based on a study, seen by the FT, whose recommendations include the launch of a regulatory partnership initiative and the appointment of high-profile regulatory co-operation enforcers by Washington and Brussels, to work as advisers to the White House and the president of the European Commission.
The study also suggests establishing early warning systems in the regulatory and legislative processes to identify draft rules that could lead to transatlantic tensions.
